Delete Your Account or Data

This page explains how to permanently delete your Every-List account and all of its data, or how to remove specific data without deleting your account entirely. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which covers what we collect and why.

Delete your entire account

From the app (fastest)

Open Every-List and sign in.
Go to Profile.
Tap Delete Account.
If you own any lists or recipes that other people also participate in, you'll be asked to either transfer ownership to someone else on that list/recipe or delete it outright — every shared item needs an explicit choice so nothing is left orphaned.
Confirm. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.

Without the app installed

Email support@every-list.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify the request and complete it within a commercially reasonable time.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes, from our active systems:

Your profile (name, username, email, bio, photo)
Every list and recipe you own (transferred lists/recipes stay with their new owner)
Photos you've uploaded (item photos, recipe photos, your profile photo)
Your friendships, friend groups, and pending friend/list/recipe invites
Your notifications, saved items, and personal library data (pins, notes, ratings, ordering)

Lists and recipes you only participated in (didn't own) aren't deleted — you're simply removed from them, the same as leaving. We may retain limited information as required by law, for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution, or as reflected in backup systems until those backups are cycled out in the ordinary course.

Delete specific data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific things. From within the app you can:

Delete an individual list or recipe you own
Remove a photo from an item, a recipe, or your profile
Unfriend someone, or leave a friend group
Leave a household, or (as the owner) remove a household member
Cancel a pending invite you sent or received
Disable push notifications, in your device settings

For anything not covered by an in-app control — or if you'd rather we handle it directly — email support@every-list.com describing what you'd like removed. We respond to these requests within a commercially reasonable time.
